Arguing with fools is easy when you have the ammo.

One thing I would like to point out to our readers is that, according to PLATO,
tyranny is the eventual end point of all democracy. History shows us
that when a nation (or people) face a crises, it takes but one group to
seize the opportunity and craft the nation in their own view. Often
times the majority will follow this lead because they are looking for
answers amongst a sea of trouble present in their state.

Arguments can be made that Hitler was recent enough that people would “know” a tyrant and see it coming. We remember the Holocaust, ect. We would vote out such extremism before it could gain power… but keep in mind that we can
see a case study of modern extremism present in Greece. Golden dawn, an
extremist political movement has taken 21 seats in Grecian parliament now down to 18. Not a majority by far, but here again we see a nation grasping at straws for answers, and some people
saw it fit to grasp for a nationalist party with deeply xenophobic
views. What if the crises gets worse? What if the state of Greece were
to fall off a point of no economic return?

Such conditions are breeding grounds for extremist views and lay the
foundations of a populace willing to vote for a man with the answers so
to speak. For Germany that man was Hitler. To the average German, he
seemed like a good idea at the time.

When the Majority chooses the wrong man for the job and indeed elects
a tyrant, you best hope that the minority has teeth by which to fight

back and overcome… or at the very least die trying.

Thus we must remain ever vigilant against the threat of tyranny.
History is rife with case studies and we see how a Greek voter has
elected representatives that should have never seen their name on a
ballot. Ironic that Plato was also Greek.

MAY 1928 the Nazi party has 13 seats in German Parliament.

MARCH 1933 the Nazi party has 288 seats in German Parliament.

Be Ever Vigilant. Argue your points well and articulately. Remind people that tyrants come into power when they have convinced the majority of people to vote for them. That’s when the people will be disarmed and the minority (whoever that might be) will be lead to the concentration camps.

Keep practicing riflemen.

P.S. Should any fool maintain that the forefathers could not envision “assault rifles” hit them with this from DC vs. Heller:

“Some have made the argument, bordering on the frivolous, that only
those arms in existence in the 18th century are protected by the Second
Amendment . We do not interpret constitutional rights that way. Just as
the First Amendment protects modern forms of communications, e.g., Reno
v. American Civil Liberties Union, 521 U. S. 844, 849 (1997) , and the
Fourth Amendment applies to modern forms of search, e.g., Kyllo v.
United States, 533 U. S. 27, 35–36 (2001) , the Second Amendment
extends, prima facie,to all instruments that constitute bearable arms,
even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding.”

“We do not interpret constitutional rights that way.”

Damn Straight.
